Pump It!

Pump It is a submission to the 2025 GMTK Game Jam.

Inspired by the context of "Loop", the aim is to pump pure water to some thirsty houses and bring back the waste water produced (in a loop) where it is recycled (rather loopy behaviour) and is pumped back out into your (hopefully) brilliant pipe network.

Aim:

As a water company, you must provide water to the new <Insert District Name Here> and keep the people happy. Use a variety of pipe pieces and levels to achieve this goal. Earn money for providing for the households and watch your area of influence grow alongside.

Controls:

• WASD - Movement
• R - Rotate
• 1 - Built Tool (a tad finicky)
• 2 - Straight Pipe
• 3 - Bent Pipe
• 4 - Junction Pipe
• 6 - Delete
• Up Arrow - Cycle to a higher pipe level
• Down Arrow - Cycle to a lower pipe level

Tutorial:

1. Observe your central pumping station in the middle of your screen, this is where your pipe network must feed from, to houses, and back again for recycling.
2. Connect, using pipes, the output of the pump (left hand side) to the input of the houses (left hand side). Notice how the pipes have directions marked by arrows.
3. You should start to get a steady income as your water reaches the houses, but you must now bring the waste water back to your pump. BE SURE TO NOT CROSS THE PIPES, you don't want waste water in the drinking water!

Oh, by the way, houses wont be happy if you can't give them water quick enough!
